    (Updated 06/22/2020)

Below are the "Back to Practice – COVID-19 Guidelines" as provided by District 42 Little League, encompasses guidelines set forth by the County of San Diego, the City of Chula Vista, and PVLL.

Mandatory Liability Waiver & Parent Commitment Forms
All families/players returning to PVLL for the 2020 Season must complete the Mandatory Liability Waiver and Parent Commitment Forms. Each family will need to print, complete, and sign each form.
**For families with multiple players (across all divisions), only one set of forms per family is required as long as all players' are listed in each form.
Once waivers are completed, please return them to your child(ren)'s Team Manager. Please note that your child(ren)'s team cannot practice until all forms for the team are collected and submitted to the PV Player Agent.
MANAGERS: Once you have collected the forms for ALL of your returning players, please consolidate them into one file and submit them to the PV Player Agent.

A Message from PVLL's President and Board of Directors to our Park View Members

    PVLL 2020 Season Update

    Hi PVLL Families,
The Park View Little League Board hopes all of our family members are safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. We are currently working with the County of San Diego, City of Chula Vista, and District 42 (Little League Baseball) gathering all of the current information being sent to all the Youth Sports Organizations. We are definitely getting closer to restarting our season. The PVLL Board is currently working on implementing the Youth Sports Protocol guidelines along with the guidelines given by District 42. As a Board, our primary goal is to keep our players and volunteers safe, while giving them an outlet to having fun again playing the game of baseball with their PVLL family.

The guidelines provided by the City of Chula Vista and District 42 are in line with the CDC, State, and Federal authorities. We are currently working under Phase 3 of the guidelines. We have sent our PVLL guidelines to the City of Chula Vista and recently received approval to Play Ball. Our “back to play” baseball will begin with 2 to 3 weeks of practice only, and once the State moves us into Phase 4, we will begin playing games.

As Phase 4 approaches, we will begin working on a new schedule of games for all divisions (T-Ball through Juniors) and will consist of 10 to 14 games. District 42 confirmed there will be a Tournament of Champions (TOCs) for 6u, 7u, 8u, and Minor A divisions. There will also be All Stars for 10u, 11u, 12u, Intermediate, and Juniors divisions.

Our V.P. of Administrations, Dennis Diaz, is currently working closely with our point of contact for the City of Chula Vista. They are diligently working to meet all the guidelines in hopes of getting the green light to begin practices. Currently there is no definitive date set, but we are moving forward. We appreciate and ask for your continued patience, flexibility, and understanding, as there are many moving parts.

As part of restarting the season, our V.P. of Baseball Operations, Carlos Medina, will be reaching out to all of the Mangers in the upcoming days. Managers will be given the guidelines to return to playing baseball with our Top Priority being safety. For logistical purposes, mangers will be contacting their teams to identify how many players will be returning. We as a Board hope 100% of players will return to the baseball fields we love so much.

There will be more information to come as we enter our first steps back to Little League. I would like to say thank you for all the support, understanding, and patience through these unprecedented times.

**Note: Due to all League activities being shut down, and the social distancing/shelter in place orders, player/team pictures will not be distributed at this time. Once League activities resume, the Team Parent Coordinator will work to distribute the pictures.

A Message From District 42 President to our Park View Members

Little League Cancels 2020 Regional and
    World Series Tournaments
Dear District 42 Parents and Players:
Earlier, Little League International President and CEO Stephen Keener shared a live Facebook announcement that the Regional and World Series Tournaments for all Divisions will be cancelled for the 2020 season. It is disappointing news for sure, but one that could not be avoided due to the current situation and timelines for reopening. Mr. Keener did say that the season can still be played to a limited extent depending on state regulations.
District 42 will be working closely with Western Region and other Districts in Southern California to determine if we can play a District All Star Tournament, a Sectional Tournament and/or a So Cal State Tournament. This will be contingent on the State and County opening up cities. We will update you as soon as we receive additional information and guidance.
We will be having a telecom with league presidents and will be discussing next steps for playing later in the summer, in compliance with local and state health regulations.
We share your disappointment and we thank you for your understanding. Stay safe and stay tuned for more information.
